About the yarn
The Wool Barn yarns are hand-dyed in small batches in Maya's studio in Herfortshire.
The Wool cashmere sock base is Michelle's desert island yarn! The extra fine merino base with 10% cashmere feels incredibly soft and plump. It takes colour beautifully and feels wonderfully soft next to skin. A little bit of added nylon provides strength, making it suitable for socks, luxurious shawls, garments and baby knits. It is available in exquisite semi-solid shades that are the signature of The Wool Barn.
The kit includes one skein in each of three colours (3 skeins, 300g in total): Vintage Peach, Hibiscus & Belle Epoque. Check the individual yarn pictures for the most accurate version of each of these colours.
The yarn is a 4 ply sock / fingering weight yarn & has 350m per 100g.
Please check your gauge.
About the pattern
Changing Light is a fully reversible scarf or wrap featuring stripes, lace and elegant pointed tips. This knit begins with a diamond-shaped center, knitted in the round from the center out.
Next, two sides of the diamond are worked flat to form one half of the piece; held stitches from the other two sides are then slipped back on the needles and worked in the same way. As you knit, you will travel through playful sections of stripes, lace mesh and garter stitch and have the fun of watching your colors drift into one another.
Instructions are provided for two sizes: S and L.
Measurements: S: 11.5”/29 cm wide and 55”/140 cm long after blocking / L: 13”/33 cm wide and 66”/168 cm long after blocking.
The kit has been designed to make the larger size. Please check your gauge to ensure you have sufficient yarn.
