About the Sweater Workshop Book
With more than 30 years' experience knitting, designing and teaching, Julie Weisenberger presents her first book: Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, which includes nine new designs. The book expands on simple, seamless, top-down styling as well as explaining the Cocoknits Method – a system of tracking knitting progress in customised worksheets.
More than just a collection, this book explains the Cocoknits Method – a system of tracking knitting progress in your own easy to follow customized chart. Unlike most traditional patterns that create flat shapes, the tailored style of construction in these patterns creates truly three dimensional garments that impart a great fit upon completion.
The innovative color-coded charting technique shows exactly where to work shaping elements without having to continually read and interpret pattern abbreviations, and at the same time allows the knitter complete control over customization to achieve a fantastic fit. All designs are worked from the neckline down, so once the neck and yoke area are established, the knitter can just cruise through generating the sweater and not worry about counting or losing track of their place in the pattern. Another advantage of knitting top-down is the ability to try on your garment as you work, to ensure the fit is right.
In addition to all new patterns, Julie has dedicated a section of the book to an in-depth guide to choosing the right patterns for your figure type with considerations for colorwork, textured stitches, and hemlines all working in concert to create the right silhouette for you.
About the Sweater Journal
The Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet is an integral part of the Cocoknits Method – a system for knitting seamless, tailored, top-down sweaters.
The Sweater Worksheet Journal contains 24 blank worksheets and doubles up as a diary of the sweater-knitting process. All information – from date begun and finished, yarns used, gauge, pattern source – can be recorded in its pages for future reference.
About the stitch markers
Cocoknits' brightly coloured ring stitch-markers are made from tough nylon-coated steel and are available in two sizes. This product is for the large size which fit up to 9mm needles. The pack contains 60 markers, 10 each of 6 colours, all in the same size.
These markers are bright in colour so easy to see when marking rounds, decreases and stitch patterns and you can use the different colours to mark different actions. The markers can be attached to the Marker's Keep for easy storage. They also come in a cute and secure high-quality cardboard container.
