In the Yarn Only kit you get:
- 2 Balls of the main colour (shown here in Adore (red), also avalable in Bliss (pink) & Ponder (teal))
- 1 Ball in the contrast colour (Serene (cream))
In the Add Pattern kit you get the yarn plus:
- A printed copy of the Simply the Simplest Christmas Sock Pattern
In the Needles Please option you get the yarn, the pattern and:
- A 40cm 5.5mm circular needle (Bamboo tips)
- A set of 5.5mm double-pointed needles (Bamboo tips)
- A tapestry needle
(Needles are shown but the Needles Please option must be selected to add needles to the kit)
About the yarn
West Yorkshire Spinners Retreat Chunky is a softly spun yarn that is perfect for quick knits!
See the individual yarn pictures for the most accurate colour representation.
About the pattern
The Simply the Simplest Christmas Sock pattern by Michelle Gregory include the instructions to make a decorative hanging Christmas Sock.
The sock is worked in the round on a circular needle. The heel is worked on double-pointed needles using wrap and turn short rows. The toe is grafted using Kitchener stitch. All of these techniques are covered in the free festive Sock-a-Long from November 30th, linked above.
Top of cuff (unfolded) to bottom of the heel: 15½ inches.
Back of heel to tip of toe: 16 inches.
About the needles
The Needles Please kit includes two different needle types, a circular needle and double-pointed needles. This is because it is easier to knit the cuff, leg & foot on the circular needle and to turn the heel and work the toe in the double-pointed needles.
