I love knitting linen stitch, but in the wrong yarn it can be difficult to wear against the skin. I love working with the Alpaca DK, but sometimes it’s just a little too soft for the shape I want. Then I came upon a solution! Linen stitch with ultra soft Banshee Yarns Alpaca DK is like my structured, unstructured knitting dream! This cowl is, all going well, the forerunner of a dress in the same stitch and yarn!
This pattern ships for free in the UK and includes a digital copy of the pattern.
This pattern is knit in the round using linen stitch. It can be worn doubled over or without wrapping it.
Height: 20cm / 8 inches
Circumference: 118cm / 46.5 inches
Measurements taken after cowl has been wet blocked and dried flat.
Banshee Yarns Alpaca DK, 3 skeins (70% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere, 225m per 100g). Shown here in Nude Grey (Colour 1), Nude (Colour 2) & French Knickers (Colour 3).
Other DK yarns can be used but I recommend swatching to ensure that the linen stitch doesn’t make a soft yarn too rough.
